The console wars return to the Clarence in Sligo and the new season promises exclusive games, great prizes and highly competitive tournaments.
Clarence Games, run by LegendGerry.com proved a great hit with students and gamers earlier this year and after a summer sabbatical they return on September 1st with games for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 2 and Playstation 3.
Every Saturday from September 6th there will be a qualifying tournament held in the Clarence for the Grand Championship 2008 with great prizes on offer to the winner.
We are pleased to announce that Gateway Games have been added to our list of affiliates, so for those that can't make the Saturday afternoon competitions, qualifiers will also be held in the Gateway bar, Lord Edward Street, on Monday nights from 8pm.
The games which will be contested are just launched Soul Caliber 4, GRID Racing, Call of Duty 4, the massively popular Halo 3 and for sports fans FIFA ‘08
Clarence Games will also offer a first look at some of the newest releases during the coming season. These will be held during the Thursday night gigs at the Clarence, and start with the eagerly-awaited game Mercenaries 2 on September 4 (sponsored by Xtravision).
